Volunteer with us

Our mission is to improve the lives of local people by providing the opportunity to learn a new trade, build on their existing skills, and strengthen their confidence in an environment where mutual respect, support, and care for others is a given.

Volunteers are at the heart of what we do at Reseiclo, and we have a role for everyone who wants to get involved, no matter your experience, background, or history.

There are many reasons for joining us as a volunteer, whether you want to gain some work experience, make social connections, give back to the community, create a more sustainable future, or you simply want to learn something new. We are especially looking for volunteers who may be facing barriers to mainstream employment, facing isolation, or living with a physical or mental disability.

We always have plenty of roles requiring a variety of skills available including:

  • Workshop volunteer - building products for sale following design specifications
  • Collections assistant - help with collecting waste wood from sites across South Wales
  • Yardperson - help with sorting, storage and preparation for sale of reclaimed wood

There are also opportunities to get involved in sales, marketing, administration, social media management, and designing products.

Take a look at some role descriptions to see an example of what you could be doing (please note these are not final and can be adjusted to suit your skills, time commitment, and needs):
