Waste Wood Collection Service

Reseiclo Community Wood Recycling collects "waste" wood from industrial customers such as construction companies and film sets and transforms it to save valuable resources and create work for local disadvantaged people.

By using our collection service, you can:

⮞ Cut your waste disposal costs

⮞ Save valuable resources and reduce energy use and pollution

⮞ Help bring positive change to disadvantaged people's lives

What we collect

Regardless of size/condition:

  • Timber off-cuts
  • Pallets (whole or broken)
  • Plywood, chipboard, OSB, MDF
  • Kitchen worktops
  • Cable reels, crates
  • Doors, door frames, etc.
  • If it's not listed, we probably still collect it - email us to find out!
How the system works

The system is simple and will not involve site staff in extra work.

Pile up your wood waste in a suitable location
When there is about a skip load, give us a call and we will collect

We operate in South Wales

We collect from the green area, and may collect from the red area if you have been referred to us through the National Community Wood Recycling Project.
If you are based outside of our catchment area, please visit the National Community Wood Recycling Project website to find a more local project.

We will:

  • Arrive within 48 hours of being notified (in most circumstances)
  • Be correctly licensed and insured and supply Waste Transfer Notes
  • Have trained staff with CSCS cards and the correct PPE
  • Collect virtually all waste wood or wooden items — regardless of size or condition
Minimum amount for collection: 6 cubic yards

You only pay for what we take, no matter how many trips in the van it requires to take it all away.

What happens after the collection?

The wood is carefully sorted and used in the most environmentally beneficial way. For example:

  • Long lengths, sheet materials, doors or other reusables will be used for DIY/building
  • Some timber will be used to make a wide range of reclaimed-wood products
  • Much of the remainder is chopped up for firewood and kindling
  • Some is sent to be remade into chipboard or used as energy chips. 100% of the timber we collect is reused or recycled – nothing is returned to the waste stream.
  • The next time you have wood waste, give us a call and we will come back to get more!
